Hello, lads and gals, welcome to the unofficial *cough* guide of how to live a non-regretful Maple life! SERIOUSLY!

People have been getting scammed, hacked, ect. Now, how can you get out of that trapped trail, and unto the Maple life of no regrets? I am here to warn people, since I have my own regrets in Maplestory (and other MMORPGs). Let us begin! Pay attention please. :]

Scams: One of the Most Regretful Incidents EVER

Scams... When there are good people, there are bad people! Here's how to prevent a scam:

If someone tells you "Drop Your Item and press [insert pathetic ways to close your Maplestory window] to duplicate it!" don't do it, but, some people actually believe this. <.<;;
Never drop trade, not trustworthy.
If you are unsure about the price (like a set of Tobis for 100k) check Basil Market before doing any trades. V~V Sorry mods if I am breaking a rule.
If someone tells you "Selling NX", don't play along with the dude.
Now that, let us move unto another subject:

Hacks: Worst Things Ever Invented!!!

Do not trust any websites that "offer" Free Nexon Cash. Because, they'll just offer a virus (ex: keylogger, Trojan)
Never trust anyone who is offering to pin crack you.
If a hacker is on the map, try taking a screenshot and report him/her and leave ASAP.
Never trust "Meso Generators" sites.
***EDIT*** Thank you lolimatheif for saying this... if you're friends have played Maplestory on your computer, make sure you scan your computer if they installed hacks! And make sure to say to your friend, "Stop hacking."

You should edit this.

1. Do not trust any websites that "offer" free Nexon cash, mesos, powerlevelling, or duplication of items (oldest trick in the book) and require ANY account information. And NEVER accept any hacks, as

This is illegal and you are breaking the TOS
Heard of autoban? Even if the hacks work you'll get banned after 10 seconds of hacking.
Trojans will forever haunt your cpu that you paid major money for.
They come, they report, they leave, you deserve it for trying to get hacks
And NEVER GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION AS THEY MAY USE THIS AS PAYMENT for whatever you wanted to get. You MIGHT however get your account back, with an absence of all items and mesos, and maybe characters.

MESO GENERATORS DO NOT EXIST, THEREFOR IT IS GUARANTEED THAT THESE SITES ARE SCAMS. The ONLY site that can give out mesos and won't be a scam is NEXON.NET and they never give out mesos anyway. Mesos levels are SERVER SIDE, and that means it is IMPOSSIBLE to hack mesos directly. It's as easy as HACKING YOUR CHAR AND MAKING IT LEVEL 200. Unless you have DIRECT ACCESS to the server then it is impossible.

Need Some Friends?

Try talking to some people (no, this does not include begging for free stuff, you should know that by now!)
Try talking to some people while training.
Party. That is all to say.
Avoid begging for mesos and NX. This will get you defamed.
Avoid KS'ing, this will ruin your reputation.
Avoid using offensive language and racism and sexism.
And most of all, try your best. :]

How to Avoid Buying Something in the Cash Shop You Don't Need!!!!

Look at the weapon equipment information. See if it masks over a certain weapon (ex: Claw, bow, crossbow, wands and staff, ect.)
Look at the information by hovering your little glove on the item. (like, you don't know what a tele rock is, look at it and see if you need it)
Plan Out? Plan out outfits before buying, if some time later, you don't like it, delete that and plan out another outfit before making your purchase.
I made this because some people have been mistakenly bought a NX bow equip when they are a magician. And I don't want any people wasting NX. And if you think you can refund, sadly, no, you cannot. All sales are final.

Now, to the newbies:

Never beg for money, stuff, ect. It will affect your reputation to others. And don't scam or hack, it'll just get you banned. And NEVER threaten ANYONE. EVEN NEXON OR WIZET. Cuz, you WILL regret it!

Please play legitely (no hacks, no scams, no offensive language, ect.)

Please pay attention to MapleTips, especially when you are a newbie.

Ask some questions, Albert Einsten says never stop asking questions, it may be annoying, but someone might have the heart to answer.

Never beg for stuff, everyone (well, ALMOST everyone) earned their stuff the hard way, you should too.
