MapleStory Thief Starter Guide

A starting guide for becoming a thief, with pointers to help you go on.
In order to get a good starting thief, you need to roll 4 strength and 4 intelligence. Luck and Dexterity can be anything, although if your lazy, you can do 5 strength but never any more for intelligence.

Many Questions asked by noobs(not that you are one.

Why is dexterity and luck so important while strength and intelligence isn’t?

Luck = DMG when using knives, claws.
Dexterity = Higher it is, more armors you can use.
Strength = ALthough this is needed for strength bandits, your just starting.
Thief are pretty much useless in close-range, unless your going for a bandit, which will still not need intelligence.
What does AP stand for?

AP stands for "ability point". Ability points are points that you put on certain stats, which include STR, DEX, INT, LUK, HP, and MP. You get 5 ability points every time you level up

What is SP?
SP stands for "skill points". Skill points are points that you put on certain skills to activate or upgrade them. As a thief, you receive your first skill point at level 10 when you become a thief and every level after 10 you receive 3 skill points.

Notes:Like in many other guides, the author will put in the word "save". Please note that save is not really a skill. Save means to store up ability points, and later in a level spend it all at once.
