Be Good at Maple Story

MapleStory is a free, downloadable MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that currently has over three(3) million players. With monsters to fight, quests to complete, friends to make, and lots of places to visit, maplestory mesos provides a wealth of challenges. What's more, since the game includes cute characters and plenty of scenery, even the youngest gamer can enjoy playing. While training is often long and tedious, it pays off in the long run if you can stick to it, because the higher your level, the more there is to do. Want to become good at MapleStory? All it takes practice--and a few helpful tips.

Steps

1.Roll a character whose stats fall into the class you're dealing with. Keep in mind these stats are the ones that you dont care about. You want these as low as possible.

•For Thieves that is 4 INT and 4 STR.

•For Warriors, Pirates and Perma-Beginners that is 4 INT and 4 LUK (with a Perma-Beginner the •DEX should be low too).

•For Bowman that is 4 INT and 4 LUK.

•For Magicians that is 4 STR and 4 DEX.

•If you're really, really lazy, a 4/5 or a 5/4 will do, but never a 5/5.

2.Find a good place to train. A good place has a lot of monsters that are at least 3 - 5 levels below you. If your level is below 10, there will not be any monsters with low enough levels, so just train on snails and mushrooms on Maple Island. Due to the recent patches on the game, new, tougher monsters have shown up on Maple Island. If you want to be a Warrior, you may want to train on them.

3.Familiarize yourself with your character. It will take some trial and error to discover you character's attack range, jumping height, etc. Once you become familiar with the basics, try to learn more advanced tricks, such as how to dodge a monster that is chasing you by turning around and jumping at the same time.

4.Customize your controls. You use the mouse and keyboard to navigate MapleStory. While the default keys may be acceptable, you might be able to improve your game by changing them.

5.Join or start a guild. To start a guild you will need a lot of maple story mesos, and you'll have to go to Orbis. If you create a guild, you become the guild master or leader. Then you may invite others, etc. You can also pick a logo of sorts, and distribute different titles to members. Membership in a guild helps you make friends, who you can then easily find and contact. Friends can help you with questions you may have or can go on quests with you. Plus, hey, it's good to have friends.

6.Try doing some quests, as they sometimes give you good, rare items. Even though quests often give you little experience, they are a good break from training all day long.

7.If you're becoming a Magician, you can do it at level 8. Go to Ellinia and travel to the very top to talk to Grendel the Really Old. He will turn you into a Magician. If you're becoming a Thief, you can do it at level 10. Go to Kerning City and find a door with "Fusion Jazz Bar" above it. Go inside there and go down the drain in the toilet on the left. You'll find the Dark Lord there. He will turn you into a Rogue. If you're becoming a Warrior, you can do it at level 10. Go to Perion and go to the Shrine of Warriors which is located at the very top. Talk to "Dances with Balrog" . If you're becoming a Bowman, you can do it at level 10. Go to Henesys and go to Mushroom Park. Then travel to the very right until you come to a house next to Game Park. Go inside and talk to Athena Pierce. She will make you a Bowman.

8.Join a Party Quest when you get to level 10 or level 21. Go to Kerning City or Henesys in Mushroom Park and ask to join a party. If it is your first time, tell them so they can brief you and give you tips. Party questing is a great way to gain experience fast and is also very fun. You can't Party Quest anymore after level 30 in Kerning City, in Henesys it is any level over level 10.

9.Make your second job advancement at level 30. Each class is different in the advancement, so do some research to find out how to go about it.

10.Find another place to train after reaching level 31. You'll benefit from a good place to train until you reach levels 36 - 38, in the newest patch, Vers. 0.46, there is a new haunted house in the new town NLC, this is available to anyone after Halloween.

11.Buy a ticket to Orbis from Ellinia at levels 31~38. When you reach Orbis, check www.hidden-street.net for the location of Jr. Cellions, Jr. Lioners, and Jr. Grupins. They give you a good amount of experience and drop Solid Horns, which are used in the "Exchange Quest," in which you can get 500 experience and some items for every 100 Solid Horns you acquire.

12.Consider doing the Ludibrium Party Quest at level 35. Level 35 is very low for that Party Quest, but if you feel up to it, why not? Don't tell the others it is your first time or you won't get in. Simply read a guide, and complete the quest up to the 8th stage. If you feel comfortable fighting the boss and you have Magic Guard upwards of 700hp, tell your cleric. You can do the Ludibrium Party Quest until level 50.

13.Orbis PQ is another option, and you can do it from level 51-70 with maple story powerleveling. If you don't know how, tell your PQ members to brief you.

14.Make your third job advancement after you reach level 70. You will automatically advance to the class depending on the second job you chose.

Two Curse Eye monsters. Maplestory has more than one thousand different monsters.

Tips

•Search the internet to find out almost anything about MapleStory, including monster stats, item stats, detailed maps, and much more.

•You can buy and sell items with other Maplers at sites such as Basilmarket.com. The trades are organized by server. You can also look up items and monsters and price check items you want to sell, and use their forum.

•sleepywood.net is a good forum site for MapleStory but may not be the best for beginners because you will get flamed (picked on) but for more advanced questions you can go on there or if you want to search for a boss group this is also a good place to look.

•When you talk to non-player characters (NPCs), you can make them instantly finish their talk by clicking the text screen.

•It's OK to die. You will be transported to the nearest town with 50 HP and as much MP as you had when you died. After you make your first job advancement, however, every death will cost you a percentage of your experience, though you cannot be leveled down by this method. Characters with low LUK lose 10%, increasing LUK lowers the exp lost to a minimum of 5%.

•To find out what quests are available for your character's level, open the quest menu (hotkey: Q) and click the tab "Quests Available."

•Always train on monsters a few levels below you. You will have less of a chance of dying and you will gain experience faster because the monsters will be easier to kill.

•When you are in a town, check the potion store for return scrolls so you don't have to travel all the way to that town again. Instead, double click the return scroll to be teleported to the respective town.

•When you are selling your loot from monsters, sell them at a potion shop so you can stock up on potions and return scrolls.

•When given free quest items in huge amounts, fame the person if you can. This shows respect and will get you respect and maybe a fame back.

•Never leech off of your party unless the party master or a majority of the party approves of it. Leeching without their permission will get you a mass defame and a boot from the party.

•Common hotkeys in their default places are the following. Quests Window: Q. Equipment Window: E. Stats Window: S. Skills Window: K. Friends/Party/Guild Window: R. Pickup Items: Z. Sit: X. Chatroom: C. World Map: W.

•Always fight monsters to get the things they drop. You never know when you will encounter people which want to buy the items from you.

•If you're a warrior, killing things like dark stumps or stumps would be good for level 10-13. After that, get a spear (preferably get one before level 11) and you'd have no problem leveling up. At level 20 go to henesys, and kill ribbon pigs (or pig beach but thats crowded) then at level 25 go to Kern PQ. Level 29 or 30 go to Orbis, kill jr or reg sentinels untill level 33. Then go to Ant Tunnel in SleepyWood untill level 38. If you're a one handed sword/axe/mace person then that's defensive, you'll have to kill things that are weaker than you are, like vvery least level. If you're a two handed mac/axe/sword person, a bit less then your level monsters. If you're a spear/pole axe then the best things to kill is 1 level lower or equal level than you. I'll tell about thieves when I'm done my thief.

Things You'll NeedHotkeys for potions.

•Immunity against addicting games.

•Lots of potions for those hotkeys.

•Friends. They will help you on harder quests, monsters, and can fame you every so often.

•Patience to train all day.

•A lot of time.
